2013年3月16日 · To be honest, I think you are comparing apples to oranges... If I were to compare the .358 MGP to any round, I would compare it to .358 Ark (or the .35 x 39 PPC/Grendel), .30 HRT (or other .30 - 6.8 SPC variants), .30 Ark/PPC/Grendel, basically any of the SPC or Grendel variants in 30 - 35 cal. That would be a more applicable comparison.

.358 Yeti vs. .358 SOCOM? - AR15.COM
2020年12月26日 · I'm looking at the .358 SOCOM from Tromix and the .358 Yeti from Mad Dog for an AR15 sized gun (as compared to a .358 Win in a large frame). The theoretical performance of the Yeti is really, really interesting, but I'm unsure how comfortable I …

2019年2月5日 · Any mag for the .458 works for the .358 but I prefer PRI 6.8 mags to get a little longer load length. Dies can be had from CH-4D or Hornady IIRC and I form by running the case through a .400 intermediate sizer (for the .375 SOCOM), then a .375 sizer, then the .358, but if you anneal first, and after, you may be able to go from .458 to the .400 ...
358... ARk or Gremlin or MGP? - AR15.COM
2012年1月15日 · Yes, Both, MGP's and my own .358 (a Herrett rimless) require that the mags be modified to accept the larger diameter bullet. Without the modification a 6.8SPC mag will only accept about 2 rounds. you may want to contact MGP directly as I think his round uses the SPC cartridge as a parent & may be a little more effecient than the Herrett design ...
35KLR: A 6.8 cartridge wildcat in the works...(updated with pics ...
2014年3月25日 · 338 scepter uses the 10mm mag brass and it is the same bolt head as the 6.8. I still have all my 10mm mag brass waiting for a scepter build someday or to revive that project in an AR. I used a 358 barrel and it worked good with 357 and 358 bullets. 9mm bullets were too small and grouped all over the place.

.338/.35 cal wildcats for the ar15? - AR15.COM
2020年6月11日 · The great advantage of the .358 SOCOM is that pistol bullets, at least the XTP line, hold together surprisingly well and while accuracy is not great, 3-5" at 100 yards, it doesn't blow up on contact with anything like one might think. Rifle bullets such as the 200 gr. TSX are remarkably accurate. Then there is the .338 GRRR, based on the 6.8 case.
