Interstate 35W (I-35W [a]), a north–south Interstate Highway, is the western half of I-35 where it splits to serve the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area. 2016年3月8日 · It's so we can connect Ft. Worth and Dallas to the interstate system. That's why 35W goes through Ft. Worth and 35E goes through Dallas. People always think these roads run East or West and they're always wrong. It's just, the "East" section of 35 in Dallas and the "West" section of 35 in Ft. Worth.

I-35, a northbound/southbound freeway, splits into 35W and 35E with 35W going through Fort Worth northbound/southbound and 35E going through Dallas northbound/southbound, then they merge again into regular I-35.

IH 35 in Texas separates into IH 35E east to Dallas and IH 35W west to Fort Worth. The two routes diverge north of Hillsboro, through rural reaches of Hall County, and reconvene in the city of Denton. Interstate 35W angles northwest to Grandview and Alvarado through rural areas of Johnson County before crossing the Tarrant County line at Burleson.
