Interstate 35W (I-35W [a]), a north–south Interstate Highway, is the western half of I-35 where it splits to serve the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area. I-35 splits into two branch routes, I-35W and I-35E, at Hillsboro. I-35W runs north for 85.2 miles (137.1 km), carrying its own separate sequence of exit numbers.

2019年6月26日 · TxDOT has environmentally cleared I-35W from I-30 to Eagle Parkway to ultimately widen the corridor up to eight mainlanes plus up to six TEXpress Lanes for future traffic volumes. Construction began in 2013 on a $1.6 billion interim project to rebuild 10 miles of I-35W from north of I-30 to US 81/287.

IH 35W (South Freeway) passes west of Fort Worth Spinks Airport (FWS) through an area of retail in south Fort Worth. The freeway advances northward by a large industrial park to Interstate 20 near the town of Edgecliff Village.
