2025年1月8日 · Wow! Good to know. I have been converting the Swiss Vetterli 41's to centerfire for years. I form up 348 Winchester brass and trim them. The chambers are too small to accept a groove diameter boolit. The bores are big! You have to drive a .002" oversize groove boolit to make these Vetterli's shoot.

2021年7月13日 · I have recently had a 41 Swiss rifle converted to center fire operation as a birthday gift for my dad. Naturaly I had to test it out to make sure that it worked and develop loads of course. Boolit used was the Lee 310 gr. .429. The powders used were IMR 4198, IMR 3031, WC-846 (use BL-C2 data), and Surplus Reloader 15 from Hi-Tech Ammo.

2022年3月30日 · Lee still sells dies for .41 Swiss. I did the CF conversion (described on this forum) with an RCBS decapper pin as the firing pin, and a piece of plastic as the retainer. You can form .41 swiss brass but cutting back 8mm Lebel (lots of instructions on this forum), annealing and forming in the die. What I could never get was the right projectile.

2017年8月10日 · IIRC, those were the Italian versions of the swiss Vetterli (a.k.a Vetterli-Vitali rifles). They were copied from the swiss rifle except for the magazine (the Italians used a single stack magazine instead of the swiss tubular mag). The italian round was also a variation of the .41 swiss: 10.4mm. Italian Vetterli (a larger, centerfire case).

2013年1月25日 · I used a handful of .348 given by a friend. I trimmed to length and used Lee .41 Swiss dies to form, then fired a .44 lead pistol bullet on top of 10 grains of Unique. All shots were very low of course, due to the sights, but all hit pretty much in the same spot!

2013年2月18日 · I just got my 69/71 up and working this past week, so far just loaded some pipsqueak 4.5 gr red dot loads with a 200 and 250 gr boolit to make sure it would function. then the black powder loads (29 gr 2f) shot very well out to 75y even with a pitted bore. with blow tube between shots. tonite I loaded a few 9gr unique and 16gr 4759 loads just to try.

2015年1月7日 · a person just cant buy cases for the .41 vet , most people who shoot these use either the .348 w or the 8mm label as a parent case to make them . digging threw my stash i lucked out and found 5 lonely 8mm label cases .
