2008年9月25日 · At some point after 2003, something minor was done to the 42RLE to do with that and I think it's just a minor redesign where the pan and/or ATF pickup goes. An external tranny cooler is not hard to install and is generally always a good idea if you wheel in hot conditions or tow on steep long upgrades where it could get hot.

2018年2月12日 · Yes 4-speed sounds better than 3-speed but the 42RLE's disadvantages, especially with its Overdrive ratio that is too steep which drops the engine rpms down too low, make it one of the least loved transmissions to have ever made its way into a Jeep.
