Four-dimensional space - Wikipedia
Four-dimensional space (4D) is the mathematical extension of the concept of three-dimensional space (3D). Three-dimensional space is the simplest possible abstraction of the observation that one needs only three numbers, called dimensions, to describe the sizes or locations of objects in the everyday world.
Calculus in four dimensions is used in relativity, where time t is the fourth variable. A point (x; y; z; t) de nes also a quaternion ix+jy+kz+t. The Quaternions. H are the largest real associative normed division algebra, the others being the real numbers R and the complex numbers C. The 8-dimensional octonions O are no more associative.

Four-Dimensional Geometry -- from Wolfram MathWorld
2025年3月5日 · Four-dimensional geometry is Euclidean geometry extended into one additional dimension. The prefix "hyper-" is usually used to refer to the four- (and higher-) dimensional analogs of three-dimensional objects, e.g., hypercube, hyperplane, hypersphere. -dimensional polyhedra are called polytopes.
INTERACTIVE 4D HANDBOOK - Bailey Snyder
On this website, my goal is to give you an intuitive understanding of a 4th spatial dimension. To achieve this, we'll first brush up on simple 2D and 3D space, then using that knowledge we'll observe the most fundamental 4D shapes. To begin, …
4D - Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
4D, meaning the common 4 dimensions, is a theoretical concept in mathematics. It has been studied by mathematicians and philosophers since the 18th century. Mathematicians who studied four-dimension space in the 19th century include Möbius, Schläfi, Bernhard Riemann, and Charles Howard Hinton.

geometry - Can someone explain 4th dimensional objects?
2015年4月25日 · There have been people who reportedly can visualize things in four dimensions as easily as other people can in three. It's rare, however. Moreover, visualizing four dimensions may not help much when you want to solve a problem in five dimensions or more.
4D Maths - In2Infinity
4D Maths is a fundamental step into a new dimension of mathematics. Founded upon the idea of space, time and dimension, and the infinity equation, 0 ±1= ±∞, the 4D calculator generates new insight into the infinite nature of numbers, and introduces the ‘Theory of Effort’.
Visualizing the 4th dimension. - Mathematics Stack Exchange
2017年5月18日 · In a freshers lecture of 3-D geometry, our teacher said that 3-D objects can be viewed as projections of 4-D objects. How does this helps us visualize 4-D objects? I searched that we can at least see their 3-D cross-sections. A Tesseract hypercube would be a good example. Can we conclude that a 3-D cube is a shadow of a 4-D tesseract?
