2013年7月24日 · The master chart showing LV only for 4F27E is wrong just like the earlier master lube chart they used years ago showing V went in all cars using regular Mercon. That chart back then tore up plenty of Ford cars getting serviced right at dealerships using official Ford charts.

2024年3月12日 · Some of you may know how frustrating it is to install the output shaft seal/CV axle seal on the 4F27E Automatic transmission if you don't have the right tool. You may also have ruined a seal or two like I did using the wrong tool. The problem is that the right tool (OTC 307-572) is scarce and excessively priced if you find it.

2023年12月6日 · Been having a recurring problem which is causing me no end of stress. 2004 Mk1 1.6 automatic with the 4F27E box. Basically I get an issue whereby it feels like a heavy shift, or a "donk!" in the gearbox. The transmission warning light comes on and the car goes into limp mode. I have to stop, restart the car, and the issue clears.

2013年1月26日 · I decided to do the work myself since I have experience with older A/Ts. Using the ATSG 4f27e manual and the factory Mazda manual, I pulled it apart and all the soft parts looked good with maybe a slight glaze on the clutches. Absolutely no signs of any problems besides very black fluid. I rebuilt it with a full soft parts kit and rebuilt t/c.
