2010年10月26日 · Wish the Box-O'-Truth would have put various 5.45, and various 5.56 head to head on the exact same test, but oh well. Neither 5.56 or 5.45 penetrated all that much in comparison to 7.62x39, or 51, I think we all know that. I think 53gr 7n6 is better than 55gr m193, but comparable in function.

2007年11月20日 · The pros of lighter carry weight and faster follow ups seen by the small and fast bullets outweigh the one argued advantage of the bigger 7.62x39's 30 cal bullet, penetration. The 5.56 and 5.45 both exhibit exceptional penetration through likely barriers, enough so that a .30 caliber round is not need IMHO. OK I’m over it...sorry for the rant.

Both rounds work and debating this is much more about prefernce for the average person. Anyone ignoreing the shortfalls of the 5.56 are idiots.
