Jan 29, 2009 · 50Hz only TV's effectively no longer exist. A few did during the early days of the HD era but all modern TV's from the past several years should support 1080p@60Hz. PS3/X360 were overwhelming 60Hz only and all PC's output 60Hz, pretty much no-one other than live TV broadcasters in PAL territories still uses 50Hz.

I think the best & easiest example out there, simply because the first 5 seconds are this massive panning shot that either goes smoothly or shows enormous judder, is to play the first episode of the series 'Happy Valley'.

Sep 3, 2013 · If so then find a 50Hz video on the web and play it back on the TV. The PC will display it at 60Hz (you may need to double check settings to make sure this is true as sometimes the PC's frame rate will change to match the software/game being used if it differs from the desktop frequency.

Sonic Adventure was a prime example of this. In 50Hz mode it was almost unplayable in faster parts because the frame rate (around 25fps) simply wasn't sufficient.
