Also, I've found with the PRC that close up shots with bullets designed for CM velocitoes aren't always the best; with the lower velocities of a CM, just about any cup and core bullet gives good performance near or far.

One huge advantage a 6.5 CM can give you over other favored varmint cartridges or loads (think 22-250 Rem or a 90 gr 270 Win) is the capability to threaten smart coyotes out in the 500-600 yard range and beyond.

2020年5月30日 · I would compare the recoil in the 6.5 PRC to a 270 win. The 6.5 CM is a little more than a 243. We hunt elk with 260's, 6.5 CMs and 25-06 and have had a lot of success. We usually keep the ranges to 600 and under with them. I think the 6.5 CM will be perfect for what you want. I own both.

Unsuppressed, the PRC will be handier...but bring that ear pro. Unsuppressed, the PRC is going to have about 20% more recoil energy (I just ran the numbers out of curiosity).
