Lineage. Established as 693 Electronic Security Wing on 21 Jun 1988. Activated on 7 Jul 1988. Inactivated on 1 Oct 1991. Redesignated as 693 Intelligence Wing, and activated, on 1 Oct 1991.

The 693 ISR Group (DGS-4), headquartered at Ramstein AB, Germany, provides a multi-INT, problem-centric approach to analysis and exploitation in support of the key problem sets of Joint and Coalition forces and other designated government agencies as the regional lead for the USAFE/AFAFRICA AORs.
