6960 Raveningham Hall is a Great Western Railway, 4-6-0 Modified Hall Class locomotive, built in March 1944 at Swindon Works to a design by Frederick Hawksworth. It is one of six of this class that survive in preservation.

The locomotive was built in March 1944 at Swindon 1944 and is the only surviving member of the class to have been built during the GWR era. Its first shed allocation was Old Oak Common. It acquired the name Raveningham Hall in June 1947.

6960 Raveningham Hall, a GWR Great Western Railway 6959 Class 'Modified Hall', was resident on the SVR Severn Valley Railway between 1977 and 1996 and returned on hire between 2019 and 2021.

2018年9月7日 · 6960 “Raveningham Hall” – Operational on the West Somerset Railway. Withdrawn in June 1964, 6960 arrived at Barry in July 1964. Just over 8 years past before the engine was moved to its new home of Steamtown at Carnforth where restoration started. Moving under its own steam in 1975 at SVR, where the engine was now based.

Sixty-one locomotives were built (6959-6999 and 7900-7929) between 1944 and 1950. 6959 – 6970 were built during the Second World War. They were built without cabside windows to assist with blackout regulations and they ran without names for two or three years. The cabside windows were fitted in 1945 – 1948.
