2005年7月28日 · 6BH6 this was designed as an IF amplifier in an FM radio or TV. It makes a good high gain amplifier connected as a pentode (some are quite microphonic) and an excellent medium gain amplifier connected as a triode. Connect both G2 and G3 to the plate.

The 6BH6 is a high impedance, medium gain signal amplifier. It has a low heater current requirement and was designed for use in car radio and other mobile equipment. The thin glass tube envelope is 17 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 46 mm tall.

2015年6月25日 · It is possible to make an amp, even a guitar amp from ALMOST any tubes (good luck with 1B3's or 6AL5's), but sometimes it isn't worth the hassle when there are plenty of cheap tubes that will work good! The 50C5 requires 50 volts to light it's heater. If you aren't feeding it 50 volts you won't get far.

The power amp section is a standard EL 34 or 6L6, externally adjustable fixed bias. The preamp section is a high gain lead II design based on John Hynes schematic at ax84.com.
