2012年12月21日 · If you are sticking to just 6l6 the 80ma opt would be ok. But, this circuit would also support higher output 6l6 like 5881, 7581 with 15watt opt. and even 6550 if you allowed extra heater current. Of course your power trans would need to be at least 200ma B+ capable.

2013年9月29日 · I did a SE for 1 x 6L6 or 6V6||6V6 which could take a number of tube rectifiers and also had a switchable HT supply voltage. So it had quite a range f B+ voltages from around 320 to 420V. The best-sounding configuration to my ear for the 6L6 had the plates running at abut 320V, screens about 280, and a 220R cathode resistor.

2023年4月21日 · In general single-ended designs like the one in your post are simple, have lower power output and require a careful power supply design to avoid hum, and costly output transformers. Push pull designs, (great for 6L6 tubes!) require more components, but you gen more output power and cheaper output transformers. Just pick your poison 🙂 My opinion?

2017年10月14日 · Start with transformers you can GET affordably. This probably means "popular replacement" parts. The Dyna ST-70 (two 35W) comes to mind; bias can be adapted to work with 6L6 if you wish.

2020年4月16日 · Dennis Had's Inspire line of hand built SE amps can run 6L6. The most current models, that he sells on eBay, are optimized to run anything from 6V6 to 6L6 to EL34/KT77 (they can run up to a KT150 if you like).
