After fire-forming, Mike and John can reload this case using normal, unmodified 6BR neck-sizing and seater dies. Compared to a .243 Winchester, the .243 BR-K's body length is about .006″ longer, and the shoulder is about .0055″ wider.

2011年10月11日 · With the 105-107's you'll need to go LA. I believe the AI version of the 6mm has 11% more case capacity. You should be able to realize 3450+fps with the 87 Vmax out of a 26" barrel. I have a 1:9 twist 6AI that Dave Tooley built me a few years back on a Rem 700 SA. However, I use it as a single shot with no issues. Forget about feeding from the mag.

This comes to 60 fps in a 3,000-fps load. Now we start loading fireformed 6mm AI cases. Here we can safely start with near-maximum 6mm Remington data, because the 6mm Ackley case will result in lower pres-sure.

2015年2月24日 · Case in point, I can push a 107smk out of my 28" 6x284 to the same speed as my accuracy load in the 6mmAI with an 85grn bullet (3500fps). If you're looking for more velocity, the AI is a great choice. Or, you can simply improve your 243 for a pretty acceptable gain as well.

2023年3月28日 · You can use a 6mm Remington modified case for a 6mm AI cartridge, but it's not the best option. Hornady makes a Modified Case for 6mm ARC that can be used with their Lock-N-Load OAL Gauge, and custom reloading companies like Pacific Tool and Gauge may also be able to make a modified case for you.

2009年9月19日 · My first truly accurate rifle was a Factory Varmint Special 6mm Rem. I do favor the extra speed that I get with the AI for long range work when using heavier bullets in the p-dog towns. But I do believe that you'll find that the standard 6mm case will feed a little smoother from a magazine when being used as a repeating hunting rifle.
