2018年6月17日 · In short - the 700x25C is a French nomenclature for tire size meaning tire diameter of 700mm and tire width 25mm and C is the width of the rim (A is very narrow, D is wide). Your easiest option is to buy a single cheaper 28mm tyre and fit it, see how it goes. I have about 1mm of clearance at the brake bridge on my road bike with 28, its only barely enough... but it is just enough. –

The 28 will be a bit more comfortable since its running at a lower pressure. For a 50 x 11, at 80 rpm, you're looking at 28.5 (25c) vs 28.9 mph (28c).

I once assembled a dutch bike using a frame designed for 28" wheels using rims labelled for 29" mountain bikes, and 700c x 35 tires. The size is close enough to a 28" assembled rim+tire. However, a 28" tire has a bead 4 milimetres or such too big to fit a 622 rim.
