1999年5月22日 · the 747-400D was yet another version of the 747 developed for the Japanese market. It doesn't have the tankage of the stardard -400, since it doesn't do much more than inter-island flights aerodynamic improvements such as winglets aren't necessary.

The 747-400 is the latest, longest ranging and best selling model of the 747 family. Boeing launched the 747-400 in October 1985 and the first development aircraft first flew on April 29 1988. US certification (with PW-4000s) was awarded in January 1989. The 747-400 externally resembles the -300, but it is a significantly improved aircraft.

2000年11月25日 · The main reason the 747-400 has winglets was to increase the overall wing area due to its 870,000lb Max t/o wgt. The 747-400D has much less t/o wgt., but when the -400D gets high cycle time, it can be converted to a long range -400 model, then winglets will probably be attached. I don't think winglets make much overall difference.

2016年6月24日 · Hi, I am looking at the wing dimensions on the 747-400 and see that the wingspan on the -400 is lager then the classics wingspan (211 ft 5 in (64.4 m) in comparison to 195 ft 8 in (59.6 m)), exept the 747-400D which has the same wingspan as the classics.

2022年3月27日 · Since the Boeing 747-400D, like the 747SR was developed exclusively for Japanese carriers, I would imagine that the only Flight and Operations manuals in existence are in Japanese. There is some data available for the type on the Boeing website, but I was wondering whether the D model performed better in climb than other 47s.

2003年3月11日 · The 747-400D (Domestic) seating diagram I found deep within boeing.com shows 3-4-3 main deck and 3-3 upper deck seating for 624 pax! That's 539 main deck and 85 upper deck. That's without using 3-5-3 too! The diagram is part of a download of specs in .pdf format. I can find it if you wish.
