2023年3月28日 · Those videos appear to be reviews of the 77gr Sierra Matchking (even though the one video title is OTM). I bought a few boxes of the 77gr SMK for around $14.99 (I think) and the 77gr OTM were listed at $11.99 (I think). I wish I would have bought some when I saw the email yesterday because it looks like they are sold out already!

2023年5月8日 · I chrono'd some 2014 CBC 5.56 77gr and some 2014 IMI 5.56 77gr as a comparison to the AAC 77gr OTM. The CBC 5.56 77gr was doing an average of 2873fps out of the Krieger, previous testing of the same lot of 2014 CBC 77gr from a FN CHF 20" 5.56 chamber was an average of 2752fps.

2024年10月16日 · Way back when MK262 initially was loaded with the Nosler 77gr because Sierra was not going to apply a cannelure to their 77gr SMK. The Hornady bullets were just announced. They will only come in 500 count boxes.

2018年7月17日 · If I'm not mistaken, the 77gr TMK is still the pinnacle of long range (for 5.56 bullets) technology among mag-length loadable bullets. Just a thought. I wouldn't feel behind the ball if "all" I had were BH 77gr OTM, but I feel just a bit better with TMK.

2023年7月3日 · 77gr SMK is a match projectile successfully pressed into duty. 77gr TMK, 62/64/75gr bonded bullets are duty projectiles by design. It’s best to remember that. I keep several thousand 77gr SMK on hand for target shooting and keep a smaller quantity of TMK on hand for defensive use.

2025年2月7日 · Received some 77gr OTM to hold me over until I can dial in my Barnes 77gr match burner load. I am getting very low velocities from my Patriot Valley Arms 16" barrel with the below lot number. I got a single box of SMK and it was the same for velocity. I was given a box of the OTM's in September, and it was a solid 100 FPS faster.

2024年9月28日 · No experience with IMI 77gr but as far as home defense ammo you can do better. It’s not as bad a Vmax or ball but it doesn’t frag as constantly as other fragmenting rounds like 75gr T2, 77gr Nosler or 77gr TMK. I prefer bonded/controlled expansion soft points 55/62gr TBBC, 64gr Nosler or 62/75 gr Gold Dot.
