Fire forming 7-08 cases to 7X57 - Shooters' Forum
2015年7月2日 · But your 7mm-08 shoulder is 0.116" short of contacting the 7x57mm chamber's shoulder. Even fireforming "bulletless" would be ill advised. It might form the case without a mishap, but I would expect stretching in places you don't want stretching (in the head area), results case-to-case will probably be inconsistent, and they will all probably ...
Ladder Tests In A Modern 7x57 Action | Shooters' Forum
2017年8月3日 · I've been researching loads for modern actions for the 7x57. Most printed data is extremely conservative because of the older 98 actions, they like to keep PSI at 45,000. I've got a No. 1 in 7x57 and decided to try a ladder test using Reloader 17. Reloader 17 runs similar to IMR4350 and the...

2017年9月14日 · I tested forming 6mm Rem from 7x57mm with a 257 Roberts FL die followed by a 6mm Rem FL die. You can expect neck walls to thicken by about .002" with a donut at the base of the neck. FWIW Ken Howell stipulated using "form, trim, and ream dies" when starting from 257 Roberts (not 7x57mm).-

2019年2月3日 · After some further research, I found that the gun is a 7x57mm Mauser. Apparently in the 1920's, it was common for these rifles to be imported to the US without a barrel and fitted with a Winchester barrel. The 7 m/m that is stamped on the barrel and incorrect stamping for a Euro manufactured 7 millimeter. Euro guns would have been 7x57mm.
