As a former grade 3 teacher, I would have taught the students to break this up into 2 smaller multiplications or arrays. 7 x 6 is the same as 7 x 3 plus 7 x 3. It's easier for kids to remember 3 x 7 than 6 x 7. We are always trying to break big numbers and operations into smaller ones which are then easier to solve. Good luck, Diane

2022年4月28日 · There are no smaller arrays. If the number of rows is smaller then the number of columns is larger and, conversely, if the number of columns is smaller then the number of rows is larger.
