Dec 23, 2006 · My 7x64 Handi shoots as good as my .280, but brass is harder to come buy as is ammo for it, Federal used to offer it with Nosler partitions, but has been discontinued. If you aren't a handloader, the 7x64 wouldn't be the best choice for that reason.

Feb 10, 2019 · I have three 7x64 rifles and each one shoots accurately, with little fuss, and kills well. I’ve found most 7x64 rifle shoot longer ( heavy for caliber or all copper) bullets better than the lightweights. 160 - 175 gr. Seem best for Lead core bullets, 140-160gr. in all copper bullets like Barnes tsx or the Lapua.

Jul 10, 2013 · Vithavuori N160 with magnum primers gives good results in a 7x64. Even not developed fur hunting a Sierra match King 168gr works well on deer. The main reason a "normal" seating dept is hard to achieve is that 7x64 is really a general purpose calibre being reload with bullets like brenneke TIG witch are NOT tapered like most of the bullets.

Mar 22, 2008 · My 7x64 being used mostly on Roedeer, the 160 GK has become my std. load. When expecting some bigger game, I'll switch to the same load + the harder 160 GK HP. So far, this same load has shot 26 Roedeer, 5 Red stags (with careful bullet placement), 1 Fallow deer, 2 Muntjacs and several foxes, all shot between 50 and 250 meters.

Apart from the silk smooth action, the telescoping bolt makes for a very short rifle even with a 26" bbl. ; same as with the Blaser R93 which is inspired by the former.

He said that I could always load it to a x57 but, the x57 couldn't reach x64 status. My rifle isn't anything special for looks but, the way it shoots makes it very special to me. May 28, 2009 · 7x64 This is an excelent all around caliber for plains game in Africa, widely used for hunting deers and wildboars in Europe, and very common un Germany and Central Europe countries. Flat trajectory, and good penetration.
