@pst: I took in account some of the existing hash functions that give a 64 bit output, but for example the crc64 needs far more than 100 bytes of ram. As I stated in the question, the goal is to obtain a message digest, so a cryptographic function would be better.

2019年11月27日 · BTW, you only need alignas(8) to make sure members are 8-byte aligned. Aligning the struct to a whole cache line doesn't hurt, unless it wastes space. For performance: if different threads are using different variables in the same cache line, that's "false sharing" and terrible for performance.

It is possible that the first 4 bytes are just padding, however i'm pretty confident that the 8 bytes are the DateTime. You're edit makes total since and I'm kicking myself right now as I should have come up with that hours ago.
