809 Naval Air Squadron (809 NAS), nicknamed the Immortals, is a squadron of the Fleet Air Arm of the United Kingdom. It was first formed in 1941 and flew in the Soviet Union, the Mediterranean and the Far East during the Second World War. After active service during the Suez Crisis, 809 was disbanded in 1959.

Originally formed in 1941, 809 Naval Air Squadron has been resurrected as the first Royal Navy formation to fly the fearsome new Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter aircraft. The F35 Joint Strike Fighter is one the most advanced fighter planes ever constructed.

Originally formed during the Second World War, 809 NAS received a number of battle honours ranging from the Arctic in 1941 to the Falklands in 1982.
