2007年6月18日 · I know the 826 uses a D358 and was available in both gear & hydro. The 856 is gear-only and uses a D407. What was the marketing reasoning behind the tractors? Why were both tractors built at the same time? Was the 826 to better compete with the lighter & cheaper Deere 4020? Or, was the 826 IH's answer to the Deere 4000.

2012年11月4日 · 856. especially if the money was the same. as a longtime ih then c-ih dealer told me, 'you just can't kill them' i have an 826 and a 1256, each have over 10k hours, and i like them both a lot - but until last winter, when the 12's head gasket was replaced because it was seeping oil, the engine itself had never been touched.

2009年10月6日 · The 856 motor is heavyer. A same 826 two a 856 is about 500 to 1000 more I think the front cast also has more weight has they are diffrent. Also many to all 856's had wedge locks. 826 basicly never did. A basic package new 826 would weight lots less then a basic 856. O the 826 was a tractor that would do more then a 4020 using less fuel.

2016年4月27日 · The 756 and 826 are dimensionally the same size, the 856 is 4" longer and 3" taller so it will feel like a bigger tractor. You could technically turn the pump up on the 826 to match the 856 in horsepower, but the 856 would have more lugging power. Although there isn't a ton of difference, the 756/826 feel more nimble because they feel smaller.

2024年9月28日 · The 826 was the most common Gold tractor and production was order dependent. Dealers were "encouraged" to participate in the program and the 826 was closer in size to the 856 which was selling well enough to not warrant the Gold dog and pony show, so it became the logical choice out in the country.

2025年2月24日 · 826 seems to burn a little less fuel on light jobs. 856 has a more power. Both engines are very long lived with few problems. 826 uses Bosch injection pump that is very reliable and long lived but has problems with parts availability. 856 uses Rosa Master pump that is less reliable but parts availability seems good.
