MOS Technology Agnus - Wikipedia
The MOS Technology "Agnus", usually called Agnus, is an integrated circuit in the custom chipset of the Amiga computer. The Agnus, Denise and Paula chips collectively formed the OCS and ECS chipsets. The Agnus is the Address Generator Chip.
Different AGNUSes 8372 vs 8375 - Page 1 - Amiga
2022年6月21日 · My understanding is that the only differences between Agnus (apart from 512K/1MB/2MB) are for compatibility and that there are no performance differences. Best information is probably to go right to the source: see if you can find a PDF of a Commodore parts catalog and look up the different part numbers. Cheers Matt. Seems BBoH is missing entries.
Agnus - The Amiga Museum
Unofficially called the “obese” Agnus to signify the yet increased 2 MB chip RAM support. Typically found on: Amiga 3000 (and also on some “megachip” 2 MB chip RAM upgrades). (**) – The 8375 series, which are all ECS models. Some are 1 MB, some 2 MB, some are pin-compatible to the previous models, some are not.

The Amiga Agnus Chip and Her Ever-expanding Waistline
2018年2月1日 · In the world of NTSC and PAL, the Agnus chip plays a prominent role. She is one of the three main chips from the Amiga OCS (Original Chip Set). She controls RAM addressing as well as key components of the visual display - particularly video timing.
Agnus - Commodore - Amiga
2004年12月23日 · The Agnus is responsible for controlling around 25 system DMA channels, the generation of various system clocks in some Amiga's, and for addressing Chip RAM. Infact, Chip Memory is so called because it's addressable by the system's custom chips, unlike Fast Memory.
Fat Agnus 8372A vs 8375? - Page 1 - Amiga
2008年3月9日 · I assume the 8375 was designed to cover all three variants with one single chip. However, to make it pin-compatible to its predecessors, its models differ in bonding. Strangely 8372ABs have been reported to be made after the 8375s, but that was probably due to some manufacturing problems (which CSG had quite a lot of).
Still confused 8375 Agnus - Page 1 - Amiga
2009年5月28日 · The Fat Agnus is the DMA controller as well as other functions. It does not hold the actual chip ram but can address 512k, 1mb or 2mb depending on the chip revision. Hence the need for an adapter on A2000 and A500, the adapter which has the 2mb chip ram on it along with the Agnus 8375 or the socket and the wiring to the Gary chip.
Agnus variants - a4000bear.neocities.org
The 8375 series of Agnus was made using a different process compared to the earlier versions. This required a connection to the substrate of the chip be taken out to a pin for connection to a bypass capacitor. Unfortunately there were no spare unused pins on the Agnus, so Commodore decided to sacrifice the PAL/NTSC selection pin.
8375 AGNUS for A500 rev6a mod - AmiBay
2017年10月14日 · Vbb replacement to the 8372A. 1 MB support, pin compatible to the 8370/71/72A family. Typically found on very late Amiga 2000-B systems (some require a small fix for stable operation with these chips – same when using them as a replacement to an existing 8370/71/72A). Them, depends of your A500 revision. Yep, I wrote that entry for theamigamuseum.
