May 14, 2008 · I'd like to try to make something that would be a "Bolt On" without welding, only drilling/tapping holes. I always thought if you could get that accomplished and sell it for a reasonable price, you couldn't keep it on the shelves fast enough. I know that is by far my biggest complaint with the '86s is those stupid doors.

Dec 23, 2013 · I know my repair bills really dropped when I went from the 66s / 86s to the Magnums. If it weren't for the Magnums we would probably run different colored equipment. Another 5288 with mfd would probably handle any job here, but for what those are bringing now, it doesn't take much more money to get a magnum.

Jul 14, 2017 · The western was only available for tri-stripe 86s. both usually came with AM-FM radio and the fender floodlights. But it can be tricky- I bought a clean original '80 1086 that has the burgundy carpet and door panels and a red cloth seat- but the armrests are brown, the padding around the seat and consoles is black and it doesn't have sun visors.

Jun 19, 2009 · The two '86s we have are both black and the the one neighbor had was black. I'd have to say black is by far the most common. From my observations- I like many of you can't drive by a dealer and not stop in to look at the old equipment- it seems as though red is the most rare. I've seen tons of black, many western, but very few red.
