2014年4月27日 · I remember the '87 FXRC. The "C" was for custom, it was an FXRS with more chrome, black & chrome motor. It came in Blue & Black with blue frame, and I think burgundy and black. Still had 35mm forks, speedo & tach on the bars. It may have been a limited run with each bike being numbered. I seem to remember they were also made in '86 too.

2015年6月8日 · 91 to 3 parts are prolly the most plentiful for an FXR Inner and outer primary housings starter and starter jackshaft Clutch asm And 91> mainshaft. Plus all the gaskets, seals and bearings. All can be had new. But getting hard to find used.

We've replaced the starter relay, checked out all the wires, replaced the ignition switch and most recently replaced the starter solenoid. Let me describe the symptoms.

2008年11月2日 · Several things changed in 87. On the 82-86 FXR frames there is a little bracket with a small rubber mount for the exhaust, in 87 that went away. At the same time the 87 got a new transmission trap door with a new cover. On the 82-86 transmission they had double triangle type shape and in 87 it was rounded.

2023年7月3日 · I've got an '87 FXR that seems to be eating coils as I'm getting no spark on either plug. It happened for the first time 2 weeks ago, I was surprised since the coil was only about 5 years old with about 25K miles. I had a very old Accel coil laying which I which I plugged tested and got a strong spark.

2020年5月27日 · My original FXR rear rotor had a lot of use and while it was still in spec I didn't try to salvage it because the 87 FXR rear rotor was fastened on with counter sunk flat head screws which can be a bitch to remove especially if your bike has been out in the rain [they have a real small socket].
