2011年7月20日 · This was my first full size 2 stroke. Rode the shit out of it. The WR 5th gear meant dangerous high speeds. Won a local race series at Rio Bravo in the 250 beginner class (circa 1996?). Good times

2011年7月20日 · All the magazine write ups talked about how hard it hit and how difficult it was to ride in the tight stuff. Sure it had a fun strong midrange hit but I had no problem riding tight trails. Just as a decent B rider at the time. Oh well, really fun bike. I had a 1990 model and really had a lot of great races and fun memories on that scooter!

2020年8月22日 · 1989 YZ 250 WR, topped out at 96 MPH, a little short of a 100 MPH, but not bad for it's day. I had one, clocked on my friends radar. 5th gear was so tall, with the bike maxed out in 4th, dropped almost to 1/3 throttle when shifting to 5th.

2017年4月7日 · Starting with a project, rebuild a wr250 1989. Starting of by new bushings in swing arm and linkage. Then new seals and oil in front fork. Bottom suspension sounds great! New sprockets and chain. New piston, gonna look into the clutch basket because there has been a wobbbly sound. Cheers. I just rebuilt my 95.

2008年3月6日 · the WR250 probably wouldn't be a bad bike, but you may want a little more power than a 250 4 stroke at your size. Personally I would recommend finding a newer used 250 2 stroke. Like RCannon said, you can probably get a decent one in the 1500-2000 range.
