The 94th Flying Training Squadron (94 FTS) is part of the 306th Flying Training Group based at United States Air Force Academy, Colorado. It conducts glider training for Air Force Academy cadets. The squadron is augmented by the Reserve 70th Flying Training Squadron.[2]

94th Flying Training Squadron. The 94th FTS conducts more than 20,000 training and competition glider sorties annually, focused on developing officers, leadership, and character. More than 330 cadets take a basic solo course in sailplanes (Airmanship 251) and more than 1,100 cadets participate in the basic soaring course (Airmanship 250).

Its mission is to form the foundation of cadet exposure to military aviation, build character, and help motivate cadets toward a career in the United States Air Force. The Basic Soaring program (Airmanship 251) provides a motivational experience for all third class (sophomore) cadets.
