2024年5月7日 · It may be a 97 RV but Ford actually sold this chassis to Fleetwood in 96 maybe even 95. The chassis is a 96 but the vehicle wasn't completed until 97 and shows as a 97 when doing a VIN lookup. The companies buy the chassis in bulk from whatever Ford has at the end of the model year and build the RV on them the following year.

2016年6月15日 · 97 Ford F53 E4OD Trans.... While backing up a steep hill to park transmission fluid started running out the bottom of bell housing.(about 2 Qts)....I let it set a few days and added 1 quart of fluid and no leaks anywhere while running and trans shifts fine.

2014年4月23日 · 96 and older chassis has the master cylinder on the left frame rail. 97 and later chassis has the master cylinder on the fire wall. Your 97 coach could have either chassis. Richard

2016年3月16日 · Overall, I think sway bars are the biggest improvement you can put on the F-53 chassis and give a wide range of benefit to the overall coach. You can get very high quality bars for $800-$1000 (for both less if you just choose the rear) and then install yourself or have a technician do it. worth every penny IMO.

2016年6月27日 · Ford's 460 F53 chassis is world famous for fuel pump failure. You will need a fuel pressure gauge to attach to the right fuel rail to see if you have proper fuel pressure. Once the gauge is connected, go for a drive and watch the fuel pressure.
