Gave a description of the guy and what had happened, they looked at each other and said they be back in 15 minutes. Off they went and arrived back a wee while later with my phone.

People should be calling 999 for pretty much any ongoing police emergency and any crime that is occurring in real time. People shouldn’t be calling police on 999 to report that they lost their phone last week or to tell the police that there are some loud teenagers at a park. Source: My job.
