2022年12月30日 · Upon reviewing my wife’s messages logs I noticed she was sending messages to a 999-999-9999 and receiving from some strange number.

I was taught about this in a different way. Let's say you have 0.9 periodic, and 1, if we are talking in the real numbers then one of the conditions for these numbers is that between any and each real number there is an infinite amount of real numbers therefore, because there are 0 real numbers between 0.9 periodic and 1 it must mean that they are the same number.

2016年7月19日 · Irrelevant. In fact the ASE is certified as ".999 plus" and they have assayed at .99995 in some cases, but because of sourcing they don't guarantee anything greater than .999 purity. I think the Asian and some Euro markets really favor "pure" Gold though, so .9999 vs .999 does carry some significance there.

First, let's write down the following sequence: 0.9, 0.99, 0.999, 0.9999, ... So first and foremost the actual limit of the above sequence is 1, and as the sequence goes on the numbers consistently approach this value. Now look at the number 0.999...

I just recently got called by the number, so I didn’t know about this. I didn’t answer, being my smart young teenager self, but it’s scary the things people have heard when they DO answer.

It takes a little extra refining to get 9999 (99.99%) silver but it seems the cost to do so is not all that high when comparing the prices of 999 vs 9999. I like the feeling of Canadian Maple Leaves because they are 9999 but in reality 999 is good enough for solar panels and nearly all other applications.
