Some folks with a better trigger finger than I have I'm sure will do better than I do with it. My config was a quick throw together. First time I'd messed with 9mm in AR platform.

2016年7月6日 · Unlike a standard ar bolt, the 9mm bolt does not lock in to place. Also the 9mm is a pistol cartridge, so it's designed fro short barrels and to burn it's charge relatively fast. People have to run heavier springs and buffers just to help hold the bolt closed on the AR9s.

2018年11月22日 · The 9mm AR was just too funky for me to view as any sort of serious use weapon. Glock made more sense to me unless the 9mm AR was going to be a range gun. Parts commonality was the main thing that attracted me to the 300 and I have been much happier with my 300 than either of the 9mms.

2016年4月26日 · Does anyone know typical trajectories for a 16" 9mm AR with various zeros? Say where POI will be at 7, 15, 25, 50, and 100 yards with a 25 yard zero vs. 50 yard zero. I shot a pistol caliber carbine match this past weekend. My 9mm AR isn't ready yet so used a friend's which he zeroed at 25 yards. One stage had 8" plates at around 50-60 yards.

2022年10月3日 · JMHO, but If I was building an AR 9, and I did and I had a Scorpion and mags (and I do), I think I'd still rather have an AR9 that took Glock mags vs Scorpion ones. I don't care for the OEM Scorpion mags, they remind me of the plastic translucent ones from Butler Creek and a few other makers of 10/22 mags.

2018年5月30日 · My AR 9 (glock mag fed PSA lower homebuild upper) is using a standard milspec charging handle. A buddy of mine w/ a registered FA lower has a 9mm upper using colt mags, he also uses a standard milspec charging handle.

Unlike a 5.56 AR which uses delayed gas blowback on a locked bolt, the only thing holding a 9mm bolt closed is the pressure of the action spring, and the only thing slowing the rearward movement of the bolt upon firing is the combined resistance of the buffer mass ad the action spring.
