2019年4月5日 · The A249 has been shut at Detling Hill because of a burst water main. Drivers have been wading through a huge puddle on the northbound carriageway after water spilt onto the road at around 5pm. But now the road is closed from the roundabout at J7 for the M20 to the Detling turn-off at Pilgrims Way.

2024年11月11日 · Once again, overnight closures have been scheduled for the M20 over the coming weekend. On Friday, November 15 and Saturday, November 16 the westbound carriageway of the M20 will shut between Junction 7, for Maidstone and Detling, and Junction 5, for the Aylesford Interchange.

This year has seen us open new and improved dedicated slip roads between the A249 coming from Maidstone to the M2 coastbound, and from the M2 coastbound to the A249 heading towards Sheppey. This allows traffic on these routes to flow freely on and off the motorway without passing through the Stockbury Roundabout.

To safely carry out this work, the southbound A249 carriageway (towards Maidstone) between the Stockbury Roundabout and Church Hill will be closed for five weeks.
