Gen 1 (Generation 1) was first product line to ASTRO Gaming product SKU that was released in sometime of ~ 2013. The Generation 1 and 2 lines do not have any TR editions. Generation 1 of the A40's consists of the A40 with the MixAmp Pro (Gen 1). Generation 1 of the A50's consists of the A50 and MixAmp TXD (Gen 1).

Astro has decided to not support any of their gen 1 and 2 headsets anymore. No more firmware updates, no way to install different profiles. You can’t even connect the older gen headsets to command center anymore.

2016年8月26日 · I'm on a budget, I'm allowed to buy a $150 headset and I see gen 1 a50's going for around $100 and gen 2's going for around $150 - $200. Depending on the condition that they're in. A lot of the gen 1 headsets are in great shape and a lot of the gen 2 headsets that are on sale for $150 are in really bad shape with chipped paint ect.
