ACL #143 was a part of a large order of locomotives placed by the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. It is a 0-6-0 type, class E-4. The locomotive was used at various locations on the ACL system in the southeastern U.S. The 0-6-0-type switch engine was used to make up trains in rail yards and do local spotting of cars to industry.

2018年12月1日 · The Baldwin Locomotive Works of Philadelphia, PA, built 0-6-0 Class E-4 #143 in 1905 for the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. Weighing 108,365 lbs, the engine has 51” drivers and 19” x 24” cylinders. Operating at a boiler pressure of 180 psi, it delivered 26,510 lbs tractive effort.

A new playground will be built towards the parking lot. The RRMSF is currently looking for an ACL or SCL caboose for birthday parties to be located behind the 143. The RRMSF is currently looking for a bell and whistle to put on old 143.
