The Schützenpanzer Puma (SPz Puma), meaning “Schützen-AFV Puma”, is a German infantry fighting vehicle (IFV), per the Panzergrenadier-doctrine, designed to replace the aging Marder IFVs currently in service with the German Army. Production of the first batch of 350 vehicles began in 2010 and was completed in August 2021.

The Puma is a family of Italian light wheeled armoured fighting vehicle family, consisting of the Puma 6×6 and the Puma 4×4. The vehicles were developed and are produced by the Consorzio Iveco Fiat – Oto Melara for the Italian Army. First prototypes completed in 1988, with a total of five testbed vehicles being completed by 1990.

The Puma Infantry Fighting Vehicle uses a Remote-Controlled Turret armed with the Rheinmetall 30mm MK30-2/ABM auto-cannon and is fully stabilized for effective fire on the move. The Puma RCT stores 200 30mm rounds and is capable of firing Rheinmetall’s latest range of 30mm ammuntion, including its air-burst round (ABM).

2022年8月2日 · The old ACV Puma was a family of vehicles developed for export. While a lightr/medium tank variant with a Leopard 1A5 turret was offered, the turret on this specific prototype was placed on it by the late owner, i.e. a company renting "tanks" to movie productions.

The Italian Puma (to not mismatch with the German IFV) is in effect the lightest in the series of wheeled armored fighting vehicles (AFV) of the Italian Army. The AFV category covers both tracked and wheeled vehicles, and for the latter it all but replaced the old-fashioned "armored car".
