2021年9月21日 · Great carburetor. The only mod I had to do to make it fit is remove the EGR and plug the ports. As for transmission a 200R4/700R4 from a Chevy S10 with a 2.8, it has a 60deg bellhousing that is the same as the AMC 2.5 same bolt pattern. 3.1 Chevy Camaro flex plate and a home made pilot bushing.

2009年12月22日 · The 2.5L I4 used in the Cherokee and Comanche was designed and built by AMC. The AMC 2.5L I4 engine is completely different. Notice on the AMC 2.5L I4, the intake and exhaust manifolds are on the same side of the engine, the drivers side while the GM 2.5L I4 Iron Duke has the intake manifold on one side and the exhaust manifold on the other side.

2009年10月10日 · TT I am assuming you are talking about the AMC 2.5 [the 232 with 2 less cyls starting in late 83 , If you are atalking about the AMC one, I beleive it is the same. As far as the 'other 2.5' GM engine used from 80-1/2 -83 it has a same pattern as a Chevy v-8.

It's not really even under powered for what it is, just underpowered for how much weight it's being asked to move. Good post though, sorry none of that worked out for you. Might save someone some money reading this. Re-gearing to 4.88 made my 2.5 much happier!
