What is the difference between CAN and ARINC?
2016年10月17日 · A Boeing 787 incorporates ARINC 664 for the main network with some subsystems on ARINC 429 and a number of sensors and cockpit controls on CAN (ARINC 825). Almost all the switches on the B787 overhead panel go through a couple CAN busses, eliminating dozens of wire runs. There's also a significant difference in cost. $\endgroup$ –
Does ARINC 825 (Aviation CAN bus) follow the same protocol as ...
2020年4月16日 · Yes, the underlying CAN protocol is the same. The 825 standard specifies some CAN IDs/priority scheme for standard purposes, similar to the ARINC429 label standard. It also specifies certain CAN bit timing configuration, such as 1 sample per bit at 75% of the bit time, and re-synchronization jump width at 1 time quanta.
Bi-directional Conversion Between CAN and ARINC825: Software …
2024年3月28日 · $\begingroup$ Thanks for you help @Rainer P. Basically, I have ARINC 825 inputs but my software currently only processes standard CAN messages. I also need to output data as ARINC 825 signals, but my software only outputs standard CAN.
commercial aviation - Does the civil industry use the CAN FD bus ...
2020年11月4日 · There are numerous manufacturers that use ARINC 825 which is an adaptation of the basic CAN. The AEEC has no active committee working to update ARINC 825 to include support for CAN FD which would be the normal process before it would be used in avionics. Avionics suppliers just can't decide to use a new databus.
arinc 429 - Why use different data bus for civil and military …
2017年7月11日 · Since then there have been a number of new buses introduced into aviation. Some have lasted longer than others. B777 introduced ARINC-629 and Fibrechannel. B787 uses ARINC 664 for the main buses with a large mix of ARINC-429 and ARINC-825 (CAN bus) as well.
Data protocol in helicopter's ARINC 717 - Aviation Stack Exchange
2024年11月19日 · I am presently doing a project where in I want to transfer certain aircraft parameters (helicopter) to a ground station where I would like to monitor them (establish a data link). I have thought of passively tapping them from the data bus between DIU unit and FDR which uses ARINC 717 protocol. Could I have some guidance on how to go about this?
Aircraft data bus and computer system - Aviation Stack Exchange
2018年6月10日 · Beyond the IMA switches, the network typically has 4 or 6 remote switches spread along the aircraft. Aircraft systems with A664 end systems can be connected directly to these switches, but many systems use legacy interfaces such ARINC 429, ARINC 825 (CAN), and even analog audio or differential voltage signals.
Geographical locations of ARINC and SITA ground station
2024年4月12日 · Is there an up-to-date list of ARINC and SITA ground stations? The German Bundesaufsichtamt für Flugsicherung has published a PDF leaflet which lists various ACARS frequencies, including those for ground stations such as. 136.825 MHz VDL Mode 2 GND; 136.875 MHz VDL Mode 2 GND; 136.925 MHz; Now I'm wondering where those ground …
Does ARINC-664 (AFDX) supersedes both ARINC-429 and ARINC …
2024年11月20日 · Wondering if ARINC-664 (and ARINC-629) have backwards combability with ARINC-429. I realize -664 uses Ethernet while -429 is implemented using a two-wire data bus. However, wanted to see if any of the 32-bit ARINC-429 are "ported" upwards.
aircraft design - Why are ARINC labels are transmitted LSB first ...
2015年8月31日 · ARINC 429 transceivers have been implemented with 32-bit shift registers. Parallel access to that shift register is often octet-oriented. As such, the bit order of the octet access is the bit order of the accessing device, which is usually LSB 0; and serial transmission is arranged such that the least significant bit of each octet is ...
