An asp or baton changes the dynamic of a fight by increasing range and damage. The second parts is when a person has physical limitations. The asp or baton helps to counter physical limitations of the wielder.

I ask because my work freaks out about Guns, so they'll probably be against me having an ASP on the clock. To counter this, I'm not going to ask and if it's legal I will wear it concealed.

2011年5月7日 · "AOSailor" is correct. Collapsable batons are legal to carry in NC as long as you don't conceal them. Also, you can't carry them at all on K-12 property, or on University and college property--at all--not even in your car, technically.

And that's a problem for me given the emphasis on use of a defensive firearm as a last resort. The question is if the intruder/assailant isn't producing a gun as a part of his threat why...

2010年8月6日 · Less than lethal weapons ('dangerous instruments' in ARS talk) can be deadly force or not, depending on how used (a baton to the head or neck will be deadly force, for example). Again, using a baton on an unarmed aggressor is not a good idea, as you will probably be charged with aggrivated assault.

2011年12月23日 · Sooo . . . apparently there is no precedent for someone carrying a billy club in WI . was thinking of picking up one of those collapsible batons , like the ASP 21 , until I get my 1911 . I am ( sadly ) currently lacking in the sidearm department . I was wondering if carrying one of those ( the ASP ) is legal now per Act 35 .
