It first flew in the United States in October 1990 and is manufactured by Air Tractor. The AT-802 carries a chemical hopper between the engine firewall and the cockpit. In the U.S., it is considered a Type III SEAT, or Single Engine Air Tanker. [1]

The AT-802 Fire Boss is a fast and agile single-engine aircraft, designed for fast response in fire fighting. Powered by a reliable PT6A-67F turbine engine, it gives you a top speed of almost 300 km / h.

AT-802A is a single seat aircraft principally used for agricultural crop dusting or firefighting missions. It renders additional working capacity compared to that of conventional agricultural aircraft. “AT-802 is powered by a single Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-65AG turboprop engine.”

The AT-802A is a low-wing, cantilever, monoplane of all-metal construction. This version is the agricultural version of the famous AT-802F, dedicated to fire fighting. It can be equipped with one or two cabins with their respective instruments for the flight in both seats.
