ATSF GE U23B 6339 built Jan. 1971, retired June 1983 to GE for C30-7 series, and seen in Argintine, KS Sept.

Santa Fe didn’t trade in U23B’s for C30-7’s. The last C30-7 was already on the property before the first U23B’s went back. The U-boats were traded in for an order of B23-7’s, which reused the Type B trucks. 1. ATSF GE U23B 6337 built Dec. 1970, retired to GE Sept. 1988 for Super 7 program, and seen in Galsburg, IL April 2, 1976.

GE used a common body for the various U-boats, so this list is based on phases of the U30B.
