Cement–mortar lining provides the interior of a fer-rous-metal pipe with a smooth finish that protects it from corrosion and tuberculation. The lining can significantly retard the recurrence of these problems in previously used pipe if the pipe has been properly cleaned and repaired before application of the lining.
