2012年9月3日 · I've read a bunch of threads here on the Akai S1000 & S1100 Samplers and the conclusion was always unanimous that the S1000 & S1100 had a unique sound quality that the thread starter was going for. So recommending any alternative dedicated hardware samplers isn't what my following questions are inquiring about.

The Akai Professional S1100 Stereo Digital Sampler was released with greatly improved features over the S1000 such as 24 bit internal processing, an optional effects board, a digital output, SMPTE interfacing, and, SCSI as a standard built in.

All in all, the polyphony issue apart (let's face it, who ever has enough voices?), the Akai S1100 is pretty much everything that any S1000 owner could ever dream of: better sound quality (in and out), built-in effects, SMPTE Cue Play, and full real-time AES/EBU digital out (with hard disk recording and external monitor programming to come).
