We compared the Q60 and Q70 in the store and online before. The Q70 has a much better backlight system, and to us appear to have a much better picture when side by side with the Q60 (because of better HDR support). It also has twice the wattage for audio output.

The Samsung Q70D QLED is better than the Samsung Q60D QLED in most ways. The Q70D gets brighter in SDR, so it fights more glare in a well-lit room. The Q70D also gets brighter in HDR and has better PQ EOTF tracking, so it delivers a more impactful and accurate HDR experience.

The Samsung Q70/Q70R QLED is much better than the Samsung Q60/Q60R QLED. The Q70R supports local dimming and has a better black uniformity that allows it to deliver a better dark room performance. The Q70R can get brighter, which is great if you have a bright room.
