This is a decent loop within Aliso & Wood Canyons Wilderness Park. Parking is free along the road next to the paid parking lot. There are clean restrooms and a visitor center next to the trailhead as well. This loop starts on the fairly flat Aliso Creek Trail.

3 天之前 · The trail heads southwest, closely following Aliso Creek, and ends at the gates of the Coastal Treatment Plant. There are wide open views of the Pacific Ocean, and it's common to see wildlife.

This area is a hidden gem tucked away in the surrounding residential neighborhood. This singletrack trail parallels a paved access road. It starts at the Aliso Woods and Canyon Ranger Station and leads to Wood Canyon Trail which provides access to the rest of the park. Trailhead: Exit the I-5 at Alicia Parkway. Go Southwest for 9.7 miles.
