1995年3月29日 · It took an all-too-brief spell with a new KSA-100 (and a prototype 300-watt class-A monster from Musical Fidelity I'll tell you more about in the future) to show that it was the amplifier, not the loudspeakers, putting the lid on that final 10%. All this makes the Duetta a very expensive animal in more senses than one.

Rare and amazing speakers from Apogee. I have not been able to find another single set for sale and I know there are plenty of fans out there for this model, especially the Signature version. This is the only speaker to sound better than the Martin Logan CLS’s that have been our reference speakers for some time.

The Apogee Duetta IIs are the most cable-sensitive speakers I have ever encountered. With Magneplanars, my regular speakers, cables make very little difference. The good ones may improve the character of the top end a smidgen, or slightly deepen or widen the soundstage, but these changes are, at most, subtle.

According to reviewers the signature greatly improved upon the bass performance of the Duetta II and also had a clearer high frequencies and was less prone to sounding bass heavy. When it was released the Signature offered exceptional performance to the lucky few who could afford it along with the necessary amplification.

2013年9月14日 · Most incredible is their bass performance: at once deep, full, dynamic and fast. All three sets of Duetta Signatures produce bass in a fashion that makes visitors wonder if the subs are still on. Second: they’re incredibly dynamic and fast, in a way that makes Magnepans seem overly well-behaved and sleepy. Lastly, their timbre is very, very good.
