2025年2月1日 · I found that Apple Silicon does not, and has not supported egpu's from the first M1 unit. I know there's only a few of us that actually rely on these egpu's, and we love our mac's, but just need that added graphic support of an independent graphics card, this option was available in the past, although limited, why not know.

Apple can’t support something designed by another vendor who has dropped support and intel has their own cycle for dropping support for their processors etc. Ditto for Motorola previously. There’s nothing to stop Apple supporting m1 as long as THEY see fit now.

2023年12月20日 · Then I can no longer use Apple Silicon Macs (M1, M2, M3) for scientific calculations / work. So there are only two options for me, either I switch to another operating system, which I don't really want to do, but apparently have to, or I go back to using Apple FORTRAN on Apple II.

This Given the small percentage of macOS users that actually use Boot Camp and the roughly 100 million install base of Macs , running Windows 10 on ARM natively on Apple’s ARM-based Macs clearly wasn’t a priority for Apple.
