Rheumatoid arthritis-associated interstitial lung disease (RA-ILD) is one of the most serious extra-articular RA manifestations. RA-ILD is associated with worse physical function, lower quality of life, and increased mortality. RA-ILD is comprised of heterogeneous subtypes characterized by inflammation and fibrosis.
