Foundation in Science (PI080) or Asasi Sains is a full-time preparatory pre-degree programme to prepare students for entrance to Science and Technology degree programmes in Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) or other public universities (UA). The duration of the program is two semesters with 25 credits per semester.

Di UiTM terdapat beberapa kursus Asasi dan antaranya ialah Asasi Sains Hayat dan Asasi Sains Teknikal (Kejuruteraan) di Puncak Alam, Asasi Undang-Undang dan Asasi TESL.

Pusat Asasi, or Centre of Foundation Studies (CFS), was set up in November 2009 with the objective of providing a solid foundation for students to continue their degree programmes in UiTM and other institutions of higher learning both locally and internationally.
